Temecula School District Spirit Parade

Temecula, CA –  Although schools around the nation are closing and classes are being moved online, there is a slight glimpse of hope coming from the town of  Temecula. The elementary schools in the district are coming together to support each other in the community during this time of social distancing from COVID-19. The schools are participating in a car parade where teachers and staff members are getting in their own personal cars and driving through the neighborhood of the school boundaries. The parades started off this week and have continued all week long, parents received an email about the parade so students could make signs to show the staff their love while being apart. Each parade lasts around 2 hours and families have been coming together, while being excited for their kids to see their favorite teacher or staff member. A mass amount of parents are taking to social media thanking the school’s for putting a smile on their children’s face by having them feel the school spirit once more. The entire time the school staff remained in their own cars practicing social distancing as well as families stayed on their driveways and supported them from a proper distance.
