Tybre Newcomer’s current body of work investigates the formal principles and elements of tools that he uses every day. By selectively removing recognizable aspects that describe the objects, he removes the associations from them and viewers can see the form unhindered by their own biases. Newcomer purposely made pieces in this monolithic series of work to human scale to create a dialog between the viewer and the object itself.
