Nordic Chamber Music, “Symphony of Sorrowful Songs” for two pianos and soprano

In commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Nordic Chamber Music will present Seattle Chamber Orchestra’s founder Lorenzo Marasso’s arrangement of Henryk Gorecki’s Third Symphony – A Symphony of Sorrowful Songs for two pianos and soprano, sung in the original Polish.
An exploration of the various transcriptions done by Polish andNordiccomposers will round out the program. Lorenzo Marasso is joined by CWU’s piano professor and Director of Keyboard Studies, Yerin Kim and soprano Laura Loge, Artistic Director ofNordicChamber Music in Seattle and President of the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society.
