Explore Together/Exploremos Juntos is an early education initiative created by Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) to engage young children and their families in STEAM learning, enhance educational opportunities and connect with the communities we serve.  

Following the research, we are beginning with our very youngest learners: “The research is clear: when we say children are ‘born scientists’ we’re not just being cute; they really are active scientists, right now, systematically and intentionally exploring their environments,” (National Association for the Education of Young Children, 2017).  By embracing this natural curiosity, supporting it with creative experiences in STEAM and literacy, and intentionally encouraging families to connect, we intend to promote active learners, prepared to embrace STEAM learning in life with confidence. 

Through this project, NWPB seeks to: 

• Create significant reach and engagement. 
• Amplify PBS Kids programming and initiatives. 
• Lay the groundwork for young STEAM thinkers with high expectations for their future learning environments. 
• Listen to and support young learners and their families in the communities we serve.
