https://youtu.be/HE1D1irziqA More Murrow News Stories PULLMAN - WSU’s Student Entertainment Board (SEB) partnered with the Spark Building to create a painting party for students to paint cougar head tiles. The tiles are intended to make students feel more at home while in underutilized rooms.
“I was like of course why not, cause it’s an easy event for us to throw and that way students can make their mark on campus in a super easy and fun way,” said Tmnit Tewolde, SEB’s Arts Director.
Students had fun painting cougar heads, eating pizza and leaving a piece of themselves at WSU.
“They’re leaving their mark, their paw print, their Coug prints on this building so it’s theirs, it’s their home,” said Elizabeth Peisner, WSU’s Interim Assistant Dean of Students.
Deyanira Tovar, a WSU junior, says she likes that incoming students will see her artwork and she’ll see it in the future.
“Since I’m graduating next year, I get to come back and see my work up and I’m a really artistic, creative person so I’m excited for that,” said Tovar.
The cougar heads are set to be tiled up in room G2 of the Spark by the end of this semester.
