Outages
The engineering team works hard to restore services as soon as possible. If you recently experienced an outage of KTNW-TV Please re-scan for channels. Online streams are always available through NWPB.org and via the NWPB Mobile App.
KWSU-TV went dark permanently on December 31st, 2025.
Current Outages
- KTNW-TV is operating at lower power - awaiting transmitter repairs
- KFAE 89.1fm (Tri-Cities) and KUUG 90.5fm (Goldendale) will be impacted by planned maintenance between 10am and 2pm ont he following days: Thursday (2/5), Friday (2/6) and Monday (2/9). Listeners can expect to hear occasional EAS Tests and brief Off-Air interruptions as equipment is upgraded.
- KNWR 90.7 FM (North Central WA) is operating at lower power due to ice accumulation on the antenna.
- Amazon Alexa users: There have been several reports stating that livestream/Smart Speaker listeners can no longer use the command "Launch NWPB". When asked why the Alexa service is responding with something along the lines of: NWPB closed due to Federal Funding cuts. This is INCORRECT.
Amazon support has advised that all Amazon Prime members were opted into Early Access Alexa+ with their last update. Alexa+ integrates an AI software that prioritizes conversation over commands, hallucinating answers instead of seeking factual information.
We are working to resolve the command/skill with the company for those who want to keep Alexa+.
If you DO NOT want Alexa+ on your devices and smart speakers you can give this command to disable it: "Alexa, END EARLY ACCESS". Once Alexa+ Early Access is disabled the command "Launch NWPB" will work.
