“Our Living Lands” is a five-minute, weekly segment focused on climate change’s impact on tribal communities, hosted by Host Antonia Gonzales (Navajo). Our goal is to increase coverage of an issue that is disrupting lives in many ways – triggering more damaging wildfires, boosting temperatures and contributing to drought. It affects everything from the environment to public health to agriculture. Our Living Land aims to highlight the wide-ranging impact of climate change – and to share potential solutions for addressing these problems. It has a hopeful tone. Episodes can run any time during the week. For public radio stations, they would work in news magazines at the top of the hour or in the D segment. Most segments will be anchored by a reported feature, a two-way or are porter de-brief. Content will be created by MWNB reporters, a dedicated Our Living Lands reporter/producer, other public radio stations and freelancers.
