A town's Sheriff and regular patron of a historical whorehouse fights to keep it running when a television reporter targets it as the Devil's playhouse. The film's winning combination of catchy musical numbers and appealing performances makes it a crowd-pleasing experience that brings the spirit of the stage version to the big screen.
