Salish School of Spokane invites community members and supporters to the Golden Picha Groundbreaking Ceremony on May 21 at the future campus site, 2720 w. Elliott Dr., Spokane, WA 99224. This ceremonial gathering will include prays and blessings, student honor songs, the formal naming of the school, and the Golden Picha groundbreaking. The "Picha" is the traditional root digging tool of the Salish People. This ceremony marks a significant step in creating a new campus and community center dedicated to future generations of learners and Salish speakers.
