The Palouse French Film Festival happens each Tuesday in October. Opening reception before the film on Oct. 6, closing reception before the film on Oct. 27. Screenings begin at 7:00 pm. Free admission for students; others: $5/film or $12/festival pass.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival returns to Walla Walla this fall, offering two evenings of breathtaking cinematography, bold storytelling, and films that inspire both wonder and action. On Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, 2026, Maxey Auditorium at Whitman College will become a cinematic gateway to the natural world. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with films beginning at 7:00 p.m. each night.

This year’s lineup features curated selections from the internationally acclaimed Wild & Scenic Film Festival, highlighting stories of resilient ecosystems, courageous conservationists, and the heartfelt, often surprising ways people connect with—and fight for—the planet.

-October 28 spotlights films focused on agriculture and restoration.
-October 29 centers on salmon and other aquatic species, riparian restoration, and river health.

Together, the two nights offer a compelling look at the future of working lands and healthy watersheds. The festival serves as a fundraiser for Roots of Resilience and Tri-State Steelheaders, organizations dedicated to restoring and protecting the lands and waters that define the Walla Walla Valley. Proceeds support local science, advocacy, education, and hands-on restoration efforts. At a time when environmental challenges can feel overwhelming, the festival provides a meaningful way for community members to support local action and solutions.

Walla Walla Wiffle Redux is both a love letter to a small-town America and a heart-wrenchingly honest time capsule that spans 16 years in its depiction of the sweetness, light, and melancholy that comes with growing up, growing older, and learning what it means to carry on a tradition and how to say goodbye to it, whether you want to or not.

Join Gesa Power House Theatre as we kick off halloween weekend with a screening of the 1993 hit HOCUS POCUS on Friday, October 30 at 7PM. The evening will be full of nostalgia and fun as we include a witches costume contest! This screening is sponsored by Friends of the Theater.

After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.

KPAC presents Season 1 of the groundbreaking TV series TWIN PEAKS on the big screen for the first time! Every Monday in January, we will be screening two episodes of the surreal crime drama created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. FBI Agent Dale Cooper travels to the small logging town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of the seemingly innocent high schooler Laura Palmer. Almost nothing is as it seems, however, and the show’s sometimes eerie visuals, oddball characters, and wild dream sequences drive the point home. Sponsored by Orchard Farm Soap.

Honor Black History Month with an afternoon of film and music that lifts up the artistry, innovation, and enduring legacy of early Black performers. This special program features a rare screening of The Flying Ace (1926), a thrilling aviation drama from the era of “race films” – independent productions created for Black audiences during a time of segregation in the American film industry. Set against the backdrop of a small-town airfield, the story follows a heroic pilot as he navigates mystery, romance, and high-flying adventure, offering a fascinating glimpse into a vital and often overlooked chapter of cinema history.

Complementing the film is a live organ performance celebrating the music of Fats Waller, one of the most influential and joyful voices of early jazz. Known for his stride piano brilliance, infectious rhythms, and larger-than-life personality, Waller helped define the sound of a generation.

Acclaimed silent film organist Dennis James brings the evening to life with a dynamic live score on our 1924 Andy Crow Wurlitzer Organ. Together, film and music create an entertaining and educational tribute to Black creativity and resilience, where history, culture, and artistry take flight.
