With Songs of Solace, we give voice to words of comfort set to the sublime music of Bach, Brahms, Boulanger, and Bruckner, featuring the Whatcom Chorale Sinfonia wind ensemble. The motet “O Jesu Christ, mein’s Lebens Licht” and Brahms’s “Begräbnisgesang” (“Song of Interment”) offer solace to those who grieve. Boulanger’s setting of Psaume 24, “The earth is the Lord’s,” is a stirring fanfare. Bruckner’s deeply spiritual Mass in E minor features extensive a cappella passages and eight-part harmonies.
Dane blends indie rock, alt-country, folk, and soul into a sound that’s heartfelt and powerful. His shows move from quiet, intimate moments to big, emotional peaks — music you can feel as much as hear. Richland-based, and mostly just glad to have an excuse to make some noise with good people.
5PM-8PMAll Ages. No Cover. Dinner show. Walk ins welcome.
