The Palouse Hills Amateur Radio Club (PHARC) plans its Field Day event for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27 to 11 a.m. Sunday, June 28 at the southeast corner of the Latah County Fairgrounds in Moscow, Idaho and invites members of the public to learn about amateur radio and operate a Get on the Air (GOTA) station, from which they can communicate with other stations in the United States and even other countries. The club plans to offer amateur radio license testing at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Pullman School District #267 is sponsoring the USDA free meals program, SUNMEALS to Go, at 3 locations in Pullman Monday- Thursday June 22 through August 13 2026. Taste of the Sound is a two‑day food and community festival celebrating local flavors, small businesses, and makers from across the South Sound. The event features food trucks, dessert vendors, beverage companies, artisan booths, and family‑friendly activities, creating an accessible and welcoming experience for all ages.
Guests can enjoy live DJ entertainment, a scavenger hunt, a silent auction, raffles, and a People’s Choice Award highlighting standout vendors. A limited number of Sip & Savor Passes are available for purchase on the Messy Mama Co website. Each pass includes 8 tasting tickets redeemable for exclusive bites from select participating vendors.
This year, Taste of the Sound is presented in partnership with Best of Olympia and will raise funds for TOGETHER!, a local nonprofit supporting youth and families throughout Thurston County. A portion of event proceeds, including Sip & Savor Pass sales and raffle funds, will directly benefit TOGETHER!’s programs.
KPAC and Palouse Choral Society present AWAKE, MY SOUL: THE STORY OF THE SACRED HARP. The first feature documentary to explore the history, music, and traditions of Sacred Harp singing, the oldest distinctively American form of music. This haunting music has survived over 200 years tucked away from sight in the rural deep South and occurs mostly at community singing events, which typically include anywhere from a dozen to a couple of hundred singers. Sponsored by Palouse Choral Society.
Before the screening, the Palouse Choral Society will share an introduction to shape-note singing, including a short lesson and sing-along.
