Join award-winning garden designer Kate Frey and SLC staff in a mini-series of must-know gardening skills! This session will focus on general gardening.

Whether dangling from ropes thousands of feet up to document first ascents in interior Antarctica, storm chasing in Tornado Alley, scaling ancient giant Redwoods, or diving with wild alligators in the Florida Everglades, Keith Ladzinski goes to the extreme to capture the moment and share it with us. Journey to the farthest reaches of our planet in this sweeping look at nature and man.

Keith Ladzinski is a master of documenting the ends of the earth. An esteemed photographer, filmmaker, and Emmy-nominated director, Keith is known for captivating imagery that explores the intersection of adventure, nature, and conservation. He has dedicated his life to documenting the world’s most remote landscapes, from the icy realms of the Arctic to the towering peaks of the Himalayas. Celebrated as one of the most nimble nature, art, and commercial storytellers working today, Keith brings unparalleled nuance, sensitivity, and depth to his storytelling. Keith is the co-founder of Triage Creative and a founding member of the Sea Legacy Collective. He regularly works with household brands such as Adidas, Apple, Canon, Disney, Google, Nike, Red Bull, and Toyota, and is a regular contributor to National Geographic.

Join Dave Stockdale, retired Water & Environmental Center Director, educator, and botanical
garden director, to learn how to design a more water efficient landscape by applying
principles such as soil improvement, practical turf areas, efficient irrigation, use of mulches, and appropriate plant selection. Resources, including plant lists and design steps, will be provided.

KPAC presents Season 1 of the groundbreaking TV series TWIN PEAKS on the big screen for the first time! Every Monday in January, we will be screening two episodes of the surreal crime drama created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. FBI Agent Dale Cooper travels to the small logging town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of the seemingly innocent high schooler Laura Palmer.
