The Wonders of The Shrub Steppe is a locally written and produced Musical being brought to the stage for the first time this Summer. Come enjoy a magical story about a young girl who and her animal teachers, who help her realize the immense beauty of this unsung ecosystem. The play is filled with heartwarming songs, dancing, and handpainted Shrub Steppe scenes.
Erin Hennessey (violin) and Gabriel Merrill-Steskal (piano) transport their audience to Vienna in the early 1920s, and invite them into the unique world of composer Arnold Schoenberg’s Society for Private Musical Performances, where contemporary music had a chance to be performed away from the conservative concert hall crowds and critics of the time.
More than 100 years later, the duo reimagines this groundbreaking space, including works by two stalwarts of the Society, Debussy and Ravel, but also including work by Mary Dickenson-Auner, a violinist and composer performing in the Society concerts in the 1920s, but not widely acknowledged at the time for her work as a composer. Like many of Dickenson-Auner's compositions, Irish Melody of Violin and Piano has not been heard since the early 20th century- this will be an American premiere!
The Victoria Summer Music Festival presents Poiesis Quartet, first-prize winners of the Banff International String Quartet Competition 2025, and Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, viola, in a matinee concert featuring music by Lang, Wiancko, Lambright, and Coleridge-Taylor.

After an acrimonious break up, the Mystery Inc. gang are individually brought to an island resort to investigate strange goings on. Matthew Lillard is uncannily spot-on as Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo brings the beloved Mystery Inc. gang to life with playful energy, colorful fun, and plenty of nostalgic charm.
