Join us for the Pyromaniacs Clay Club Sale, taking place Friday and Saturday, April 17-18 (during the hours noted above) at the Pavilion Gallery in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU. This biannual event showcases a curated collection of handcrafted ceramics created by WSU Department of Art students, faculty and staff ranging from functional tableware and sculptures to unique collectibles. Organized by the WSU Clay Club, the sale offers an opportunity to explore the creativity of emerging ceramic artists and find distinctive pieces perfect for personal collections or holiday gifts.
Proceeds directly support student’s travel to the prestigious National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference. Arrive early to ensure the best selection—pieces often sell out quickly. Your purchase not only supports local students but also helps sustain the educational mission of the Clay Club.

We are delighted to present our annual ICON show, now in its 12th year. It’s always a hit! Our recurring theme invites artists to interpret the word ICON in their own way, and each year, it’s more fun. The gallery received more than 100 entries this year with submissions in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, glass, collage and assemblage. The show, juried this year by Chris Holt, will include receptions on Second Saturday (April 11) to celebrate all the artists. Three awards will be presented at the ICON Reception, on Saturday April 13 from 2 to 4 pm: Innovative Use of Materials, Strong Voice in Art, and People’s Choice Award. Located in the heart of Pioneer Square, Lynn Hanson Gallery is a contemporary art gallery – a welcoming space full of approachable art. Open First Thursdays from 5 to 8:30 pm, and Friday-Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm.
Join the museum for Family Weekend on Friday, April 17 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. for artists’ talks and a reception by the graduate candidates featured in the Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition. This year’s candidates will each speak briefly to introduce the body of work they are presenting in the exhibition. The talks will be followed by an opening reception from 4:00-6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Join us for a Wicked sing along! This is your chance to sing “Loathing” along with Glinda and Elphaba and belt out “Defying Gravity” with the rest of the audience! Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin who has yet to discover her true power, and Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege who has yet to discover her true heart. Local host Lauren O’Neill will be back to warm up the audience!
“Adventurous and passionate” (The New Yorker) Ukrainian-born pianist Inna Faliks has establishedherself as one of the most communicative and poetic artists of her generation. She is renownedinternationally for her commanding performances in standard piano repertoire, as well as genrebending projects, and work with contemporary composers.
Her distinguished career has brought thousands of concerts throughout the world, including major symphony orchestras. She also appears internationally on radio and television.
Ms. Faliks presents “Polonaise-Fantaisie, Story of a Pianist” as part of the Friday Night Out concert series at Grace Lutheran Church. This program is a fascinating, engaging autobiographical recital, which has been performed in New York’s Symphony Space, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Italy and for her London debut at JW3 Arts Centre.
