St. James Cathedral's Assistant Director of Music & Organist Christopher Stroh presents a diverse sampling of American composers, both U. S.-born and naturalized, on the awesome Rosales and Hutchings-Votey organs (played from the Rosales console). Music by Samuel Barber, Mary Elizabeth Downey, Jessica French, Larry Peyton King, Undine Smith Moore, George Shearing, and Pietro Yon.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm program. Join us after the hour-long concert for a reception in the courtyard on the south side of the Cathedral, where you can greet the artist and enjoy a complimentary cold summertime treat.
