Dancers Drummers Dreamers is a student led showcase of Dance and Music from the University of Idaho. Please join us at the Hartung Theatre March 26 - March 28 @ 7:30 pm and March 28 @ 2 pm.
The University of Idaho Dance Program, alongside the Lionel Hampton School of Music, presents the 35th year of DancersDrummersDreamers. Described as a modern variety show with music, dance, song and some slapstick comedy, DancersDrummersDreamers (DDD) was founded in 1991 by Dan Bukvich and Diane Walker.
This unique production features student dance choreography performed to original, live music composed by music faculty and students. It is a family event, described as eclectic, playful, fun, entertaining, collaborative, high octane energy and imaginative.

Synopsis:Aspiring playwrights Doug Simon (Howy Howard) and Beth Davenport (Lola Stephens)- accompanied by ‘professional musician’ Charles (Mac Hansen)- present a staged reading of their new musical, “Gutenberg! The Musical!”. The two friends, determined to get their musical produced on Broadway, play all of the roles in the show, and differentiate characters using labelled trucker hats. Join the well-meaning but misguided artists in this historically fictitious retelling of one of history’s most important events… the invention of the printing press!!

Empty Bowls is an international movement for artists worldwide to fight hunger on a community level.
This year, the Gallery at the Park will display and sell more than one hundred handmade bowls, donated to us by local artists and community members.
Bowls made of everything from ceramics to glass and even wood and felt will be available for purchase. All proceeds from purchased bowls are donated to the Tri-Cities Food Bank.
Stop by to support this amazing cause any day during normal business hours. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm to 4pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Award-winning photographer, journalist, and author Kike Calvo is renowned for his extraordinary ability to bridge culture, environment, and visual storytelling. A Fellow of the Explorers Club, he has traveled to over 120 countries, capturing everything from belugas in the Arctic to traditional dances in Vanuatu. His work has been featured in National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and more.
As a National Geographic Certified Educator and Safina Center Fellow (2020-2023), Kike combines his passion for photography with teaching, having lectured at prestigious institutions like Yale University. A pioneer in drone photography for art and conservation, he founded the Little Explorer, Big World initiative, which brings education to remote communities and has donated over 35,000 bilingual books. Described by anthropologist Wade Davis as “a fresh voice in visual anthropology,” Kike has a gift for capturing the intersections of human existence.
In this engaging presentation, he explores how creativity can be a catalyst for connection, storytelling, and meaningful change. From documenting remote villages to diving with great white sharks, from defying the odds as an author to inspiring thousands of children in the Amazon, Kike shares the invaluable lessons he has learned along the way.
