The game's afoot and wearing high heels this February in Leavenworth, as Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson – Apartment 2B transforms the Snowy Owl Theatre at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts into modern-day London.

The Rogue Assembly Theater Company makes its onstage debut with a fast, funny, and contemporary mystery "twist-up" by playwright Kate Hamill.

This modern reimagining of Sherlock Holmes places women at the center of the skullduggery and adventure. In the performance, flatmates Holmes and Watson navigate crime with sharp, playful wit from Baker Street in a story that moves quickly and doesn’t take itself too seriously—until it absolutely does.

At the heart of the good-natured caper are four local actors. Tess Davison returns to the stage as the iconic detective, while Caroline Rensel grounds the pair with warmth and impeccable timing as Dr. Joan Watson. Taking on the infamous Irene Adler role is local Leavenworth librarian Grace Camp. Andy Meyers rounds out the cast as the frequent target of Holmes's barbs and derision, Det. Lestrade. Both Camp and Meyers play other roles in the production as well.

Direction for the first official show from Rogue Assembly comes from Phil Lacey and McKenzie Baird. The new theater company is focused on bold storytelling, inventive staging, and celebrating the artists living and creating in North Central Washington.

Members of the cast and the directors will join Peter K on The KOHO Morning Run Wednesday, February 10, at 8:10 a.m. for an interview. There will also be a replay of the chat on Thursday, February 11 at 7:10 a.m.

The shows will run February 13 through 22 in the Snowy Owl Theatre at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts in Leavenworth.
