PULLMAN - With the Super Bowl just a few days away, everyone is finalizing their shopping lists to create the perfect game day experience.
With the super bowl being one of the biggest events in America, having over 98 million people watch it last year, there are a lot of people partaking in all of its traditions. One of those traditions is the eating of handheld food. Such food includes chicken wings and pizza.
On super bowl Sunday Americans consume an overwhelming 1.3 billion chicken wings according to the national chicken association. Over 57% of Americans choose to use Ranch dressing as their dip of choice for those wings.
Pizza is another one of the super bowls biggest foods. Pizza Hut expects to sell over two million pizzas on the super bowl alone. Domino's, another pizza place is expecting to sell over 12 million slices of pizza on Sunday. The super bowl is also the second biggest grill day in America. It’s only second to the 4th of July.
In the small town of Pullman, one sports bar, My Office, has people try to reserve chicken wings days in advance for the big game because of how busy the get.
With all this massive consumption of greasy foods, it’s no surprise that a lot of Americans choose to take a sick day on Monday.
