WSU students take on the David Goggins Challenge

PULLMAN, Wash (Murrow News 8) - For Nick Fazio, the journey of 48 miles started with a book.

“Can’t Break Me,” by David Goggins – a former US Navy Seal turned author challenged others to test their limits by running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

Fazio roped together a handful of friends from Redmond to Pullman to run the challenge together on behalf of the Seal Legacy Foundation – an organization supporting the families of fallen Navy Seals. The crew raised 15,000 dollars for the foundation.

“It just reaffirmed the fact that people want to do good things and there are people out there who will support good causes,” participant Jack Hill said. “I just think that’s amazing.”

118 different donors pitched in to the fund according to Fazio blowing the groups expectations out of the water.

“We had so much support, I’ll never forget it,” Fazio said.
