PULLMAN- As public school students return to in-person classes, many college students are eager to come back to classes.
At universities like Grand Canyon University, they’ve implemented a hybrid-style of learning for their students. “Going back to school it’s like nice to be around like my peers and other students when being in class,” said Isai Guerrero, GCU student.
At WSU there’s not many hybrid classes going on and for some it’s something they are patiently waiting for. Guerrero back in the classroom does say that they are socially distant there as the majority of the GCU students have returned to the campus.
“I prefer in-person just cause I’m a hand-on type of learner and also I’ve noticed with like zoom calls or whatever they like they go in-depth,” Guerrero said, “There’s a whole bunch of like technical difficulties between us and the professors, so I prefer in-person.”
Guerrero also says that since the start of hybrid learning at GCU last semester, their school schedule has changed drastically. They started at a much later date and will now graduate at a quite different date than originally planned before the pandemic.
