Moscow Target is officially open!

More Murrow News Stories PULLMAN, WASH - The wait is over! The new target store (no. 3407 ) at the end of the Palouse Mall in Moscow, Idaho is open! Late last night Target surprised everyone with a soft opening! This is to make sure everything operates smoothly and nothing needs to be corrected. It look place a little after 5 p.m. and was open until 10 p.m. for anyone walking by wanting to come in.

The original date set for this location to open was October 24 th... this Sunday! It’s been posted on the exterior of the building for a little over a month. which was when I and the community planned to be there. Instead regular hours began today.

Local residents of the Palouse area will have another place to shop… I was here seven months ago when they first started construction. And today the new target location is open for the community to come and shop.

Although they surprised everyone with allowing the public to shop last night, they still had a good turnout.

“We didn’t anticipate so much excitement before the grand opening. so it was a big success!" Store director, Joseph Bodman said.

This Moscow location is 60,000 square feet.

“We are considered a small format store," Bodman said.

These locations allow Target to serve urban and dense areas, like near college campuses, where a traditional simply doesn’t fit.

This location offers more than just an apparel section, but also a Starbucks, a pharmacy, and a market... all those different section for the community to shop from in stores or from drive-up pickup, starting today with their standards hours!

“Most of the community is excited about, is what we offer in style and having that option down here now,” Bodman said.
