Sandi Billings

Sandi Billings has returned to NWPB as Director of Development, where she is responsible for helping donors provide critical station resources. She previously worked for NWPB from 2011 to 2022. Sandi has more than 25 years of fund development experience, including at WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering & Architecture, Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute, and University of Idaho’s College of Engineering.

She's thrilled to be back. She believes in public media as a critical piece to grow minds and engaged citizens and is glad to be part of the small but mighty team that keeps it going—and growing—in the Northwest. Practically, she wants to contribute to the work of NWPB; emotionally, she is uplifted by the philanthropic people who fund the work.

Sandi holds degrees in Space Sciences (Florida Institute of Technology) and Geophysics (University of Idaho). She has authored numerous articles on popular science, hosted a local radio program, and taught and competed in the sport of fencing. Her interests include the works of Shakespeare, gardening, astronomy and science.
