Then we were sent to south Ireland, it was a neutral country. We went down there in civilian clothes. Our operation was to find the German radio operators that were sending out information to subs that our convoys were coming in. You couldn’t interrogate them or do anything because it was a neutral country. We would smash up equipment, but three days later they would have a new radio.
