Ellensburg Shakespeare Project presents The Merry Wives of Windsor, a comedy by William Shakespeare. The Merry Wives of Windsor is a comedy that brings together one roguish knight desperate for money, two wives with a taste for mischief, and three bachelors vying for the hand of the same young woman. A cast of 15 brings the story to life in a 90-minute adaptation of the play set in the vibe of contemporary reality television. Performances are free of charge and open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the show. On August 19, 2026, at 7PM, Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents Les Liasions Dangereuses by Christopher Hampton, based on the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, and directed by Marianne Elliott for National Theatre Live. This screening is sponsored by Lisa Anderson and Stephanie Whitaker.

This project prioritizes exploring the creation of an accessible experience for the fullest human spectrum possible. Captioning, ASL Interpretation, and design of the physical space for wheelchair access are part of the show. (FDR used a wheelchair, after all.)
