Valley Theater Company is excited to announce its upcoming production of The Addams Family Musical, the hit musical comedy based on the iconic characters from The Addams Family. This production invites audiences into a delightfully dark and comedic world where family traditions, secrets, and love collide in unexpected ways.

The musical centers on Wednesday Addams, the ultimate “princess of darkness,” who has grown up and fallen in love with a young man from a respectable, conventional family. When she confides in her father, Gomez Addams, and asks him to keep her secret from his wife Morticia, the family dynamic is turned upside down. For the first time, Gomez must navigate the challenge of hiding the truth from his devoted wife.

Tensions rise as both families come together for a dinner that promises to be anything but ordinary. As the evening unfolds, the definition of “normal” is challenged and chaos ensues in classic Addams Family fashion.

“Besides this being such a fun show with an amazing cast” the director, Patrick Nolan noted “the fact that the show is based on characters that have been around for almost 90 years, is mind-boggling! Every generation of our audience has had some experience with the Addams Family– either as a comic strip, cartoon, TV show or movie. And despite the obvious ‘weirdness’ of the characters, the story in the end is still about everyday family dynamics and relationships of parents & children and husbands & wives.”

Audiences can expect an evening filled with sharp humor, memorable musical numbers, and the signature gothic charm that has made The Addams Family a beloved cultural phenomenon for generations.
