Pullman School District #267 is sponsoring the USDA free meals program, SUNMEALS to Go, at 3 locations in Pullman Monday- Thursday June 22 through August 13 2026. Explores the history, science, and people of the Manhattan Project through the Atomic Exploration series. Delve into the events that culminated in the development of the world's first atomic bombs during World War II. We will guide you through the varieties of lavender on our farm and teach you how to snip like a pro. Each ticket includes a hands-on experience: cutting your own lavender bundle and learning to de-bud dried lavender. We encourage you to stay awhile, bring a picnic, snap photos in the field and Walk through the native forest learning as you go with our written guide. Enjoy a refreshing lavender lemonade on the porch while exploring the charming Farm Stand for unique, hand-made lavender products. We also offer wreath making, bath salt making, charcuterie boards and farm to table dinners. Local historian, Dan Bolyard, will share photos and stories of early to mid-century celebrations in the Columbia Basin. Dan has published books, including Big Bend Railroads and Ephrata. Dan serves on the board of directors for the Great Northern Railway Historical Society, the Cascade Rail Foundation, and the Grant County Historical Society.
