Childhood's End Gallery presents Form a Line, a group exhibition of new work by four distinct Pacific Northwest artists. Finding common ground in bold representation of the natural world, Kathy Anderson, Colleen Cotey, Sara Gettys, and Julia Janeway each bring a practiced sensitivity to their chosen mediums. Through processes that remove material or add it, these four artists present new works rooted in an intimate knowledge of place and material.

On Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1:00PM, Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes film fans of all ages for FREE WILLY as a segment of a four-week family-friendly throwback film series! Join the theater team each week for a nostalgic afternoon of film, friends, and fun! This screening will be sensory friendly – theater lights will be at a half-dim level, and sound volumes slightly lower than usual. Our hearing assistance equipment is available! Our Little Watts series is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Walla Walla and Underriner Honda of Walla Walla. A troubled young boy named Jesse forms an unlikely bond with a captive orca named Willy at a marine park. Initially rebellious and disconnected, Jesse is assigned community service at the park, where he begins to connect with the intelligent whale. As their relationship deepens, Jesse learns that Willy has been separated from his family and is being exploited for profit by the park’s owners.
When the owners decide Willy is no longer valuable and plan to dispose of him, Jesse and his friends race against time to set the whale free. In a climactic moment, Jesse helps Willy escape back into the ocean, symbolizing both the whale’s return to freedom and Jesse’s own emotional growth and sense of belonging.
Explores the history, science, and people of the Manhattan Project through the Atomic Exploration series. Delve into the events that culminated in the development of the world's first atomic bombs during World War II. The Series rotates through seven different presentations Monday through Saturday throughout the summer. Check out the venue website for what is being offered on a particular day.
Alphabet People
The WWII Manhattan Project Hanford site workforce lived in the village of Richland, WA in letter designated housing.
The Alphabet People lived in government-owned housing, shopped in government-designed shopping areas, and were entertained by government-sponsored events designed to keep people happy in a place where "Silence is Security" and "Blabatours are Sabatours."

Now in its 50th year, the Market continues its mission to provide the community with the opportunity to buy and sell local and regional agricultural products, distinctive handmade goods, artisan pieces, and original-recipe cuisine.
Know Before You Go• The Market is Americans with Disabilities Act friendly; only ADA Service Dogs are allowed on Main, Fifth, and Fourth Streets. Hop on our shuttle bus and join us for a morning of stewardship! This day will be focused on litter pickup. Summer is a great time to pick up litter as outdoor recreation increases and other restoration activities like planting aren't viable. Trash can wash into creeks and rivers polluting water that salmon (and people!) rely on.
Meet at NSEA’s campus by 8am and your group leader will shuttle everyone to the site. You can expect to be back to NSEA at 11am. All tools and instructions needed will be provided, all you need to bring is long pants, weather gear as appropriate, sturdy shoes, and a water bottle!

At our monthly third-Saturday Repair Cafe events, volunteers will offer free repair of household items, including lamps, fans, small kitchen appliances, bicycles, clothing, furniture and more.. We also will sharpen edged tools of all sorts.
