https://youtu.be/tAkk6bOt18w More Murrow News Stories PULLMAN - Earlier this month flash flooding on Grand avenue left businesses in tractor town square devastated. The owners of those business are left starting the difficult process of rebuilding.
The flash floods were caused by a combination of above average water levels in the Missouri Flat creek that runs along Grand, and heavy rainfall. The creek overflowed its banks and turned the busy street into a river.
Tractor Town Square, a collection of local businesses that sits below street level was hit the hardest by the waters. Shane Carnahan the owner of Carnahan Chiropractic says that in equipment alone he is looking at "$120,000 to $200,000 in damages."

Employees and customers at Kool Nails say that they were inside their business when waters started to rise. Waters rose so quickly that firefighters had to break the front window of the shop in order to pull them all out according to employee Tony Nguyen.
The occupants of Kool Nails were not the only people that had to be rescued, video circulated on twitter showed firefighters using a large bulldozer to lift people out of harm's way.
Local business have been reaching out to Carnahan and offering assistance while he and his family try to recover, and Kool Nails has set up a gofundme to help cover their losses.
