All Things Considered Host / ProducerMary Ellen Pitney is our All Things Considered host. Her love of public radio started at a very young age, growing up a Backseat Baby—a child who grows up on NPR because their parents listen in the car. Wherever she found herself, NPR and its inspirational and educational programs were right there.
Mary Ellen first joined NWPB as a music library assistant when she was a student and found a place to grow into a multi-talented audio producer. After graduating from The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University with a BA in Science Communication.
She has a small, scruffy dog named Lewis.
