Sandi has more than 25 years of fund development experience, including at WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering & Architecture, Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute, and University of Idaho’s College of Engineering.

Joanna Markell is the managing editor of the Yakima Herald-Republic. She was a reporter in Ketchikan and Juneau, Alaska, and a night editor in Klamath Falls, Oregon, before moving to Central Washington in 2010. After eight years as editor and general manager at the Ellensburg Daily Record, she moved to Yakima in 2018. She enjoys hiking and reading in her spare time.

Raised along the Snake River Canyon in southern Idaho, Lauren Paterson covers culture, socioeconomics and crime across the Inland Northwest, with a focus on rural, working-class, and tribal communities.
