100 Year Celebration of Dayton’s First High School – Pietrzycki

Historic Dayton invites you as we celebrate the day the cornerstone was laid for Pietrzycki High School, now known as Dayton High School. Dayton High School established in 1881, was the first high school in Washington and it opened the door for the building of Pietrzycki High School, erected in 1923. The Community Open House will commence at 5:30 with a cake and punch reception, a Pietrzycki Drama (written by the 7th and 8th grade drama class) honoring Dr. Marcel Pietrzycki, our benefactor, presentations from our Career and Technical Education Teachers on the forecast of the CTE program, artifacts, photos, stories and more. Alumni, past administrators and all are welcome to help us celebrate this historic event.
