Classical Suites: Hammer and Peg

Classical Suites presents hammer and peg, with Cellist Dylan Rieck and Pianist Reece Marshburn. These two first worked together in 1998, improvising music for dance classes at Western Washington University. Their musical lives then separated until they reunited and started working together again in Portland, OR more than 20 years later. Their new duo, hammer and peg, performs traditional classical material and explores many other styles including Jazz, Bossa Nova, and popular song. Doors of The Green Room will open at 6:30 PM; music will begin at 7. Desserts from Jade’s British Girl Treats will be available for purchase, along with charcuterie, paninis, local wines, beers, hard ciders, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets are $20 each; admission is free for students with school ID.
