Common Tone Music Festival

As a part of this year’s festival, we are excited to host a one-night-only silent film festival at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre. Each film will be paired with music performed live by the TORCH Collective. This evening, the TORCH Collective will premiere four new short film collaborations with new original music. Filmmakers include Moscow native and superstar Megan Griffiths and animators Neely Goniodsky and Scott Kolbo.
TORCH will also revive a previous collaboration with artist Scott Kolbo titled ELEMENTS. This through-composed, collaboratively composed work focuses on the classical elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. This work opens with a “big bang” to illustrate the fifth classical element of Aether… or, as Aristotle described it, “the stuff that stars are made of.”
