CWU Libraries presents NEA Big Read: Walk and Write at Helen McCabe State Park: A KEEN Shrub-Steppe Event

Join us for a writing workshop and nature walk at Helen McCabe State Park, guided by Ellensburg’s Poet Laureate, Marie Machland, and KEEN (Kittitas Environmental Education Network) naturalist, Jill Scheffer. Free custom notebooks and pencils will be provided and each participant will receive a copy of Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude. This workshop will be part of KEEN’s annual Get Intimate with the Shrub-Steppe (GISS) event!

The CWU Libraries has received a 2023 NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) Big Read grant for its proposed community events and activities featuring Ross Gay’s collection of poetry, A Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude.
