Outdoor Training for Trail Talks Field Trips #2
March 23 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
FreeThis training is for those who know they want to be involved in Cowiche Canyon Conservancy’s Trail Talks field trip program and want to get a better sense of program logistics, volunteer expectations, and options.
This training will cover:
• The flow and route of field trips at Snow Mountain Ranch
• Tips on how to be an effective Nature Walk co-guide and guide
• Details of learning stations – science concepts covered, and how to run an engaging station for different age groups (should this be a challenge you want to take on!)
Please Note:
* We ask that interested volunteers attend one of the two offered outdoor trainings. The forst training is offered on 3/16.
* Field trips with school-aged students take place during weekdays – generally between 9a and 1p. Timing is often a limiting factor for many working professionals. If your place of work supports volunteerism, we encourage you to connect with us to find a way to get involved. In our experience, where there’s a will there’s a way!
*By law, you will also be required to pass a background check to participate in this program.
* More info about the program can be found here: https://www.cowichecanyon.org/trail-talks-field-trip-program/
*If you have any questions about the program or the trainings, please contact our Education and Community Outreach Coordinator ([email protected])
