The Hanford Girl: Vibrant, Vivacious, and Vital

In 1943 and beyond many women answered the call to participate in the war work in the hot, dry, and dusty conditions of southeastern Washington at the Hanford Engineer Works. Their contributions were largely unknown; their names (almost!) lost to history.
Join the B Reactor Museum Association (BRMA) in honoring the women who supported this mission. With backgrounds as diverse as the roles they played, these women embodied the “Spirit of H.E.W.” and saw the job through. Meet Bernice, Olga, Hester, Anne, Florence, Leona and more as we highlight their unique stories on March 11th at the Richland Public Library. Doors open at 6:30.
