In this groundbreaking musical documentary, the nuances of Black adolescence and surviving institutional violence are explored through the musically inclined students at Philadelphia’s Pine Forge Academy.
Pine Forge Academy Music Director Jarrett Roseborough will speak about his new film “This is My Black,” a musical that captures his students’ experience in response to the murder of George Floyd and other recent events. The film will screen at 7 PM on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Roseborough will provide a Q&A with audiences. Admission is free.
