Wine and Sign: A Celebration of Cascadia

April 23 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Join A Book for All Seasons for a special celebration of Cascadia Field Guide: Art, Ecology, Poetry, winner of the 2024 Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association (PNBA) award! Co-editor, Derek Sheffield and local contributors, Katharine Whitcomb, Jack Johnson, and Kevin Craft will be joining us for this special program to honor the book, its award, and of course, Earth Day. This event is partnered with and takes place at Water from Wine in Leavenworth. Purchase a glass of wine and a book (or two!) and settle in for a wonderful evening of poetry and celebration.

Cascadia Field Guide: Art, Ecology, Poetry blends art and science to celebrate this diverse yet interconnected region through natural and cultural histories, poetry, and illustrations. Organized into 13 bioregions, the guide includes entries for everything from cryptobiotic soil and the western thatching ant to the giant Pacific octopus and Sitka spruce, as well as the likes of common raven, hoary marmot, Idaho giant salamander, snowberry, and 120 more!

At the event, all 4 local authors will share some of their poetry from Cascadia Field Guide and from their own works. There will be opportunity to purchase Cascadia Field Guide as well as other books by the authors. Don’t forget to get them signed!
