Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents August Wilson’s How I Learned What I Learned, co-conceived by Todd Kreidler on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10 at 2 p.m.

From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson comes a one-man show, starring Walla Walla’s own Tim Golden, that chronicles Wilson’s life as a Black artist in the Hill District in Pittsburgh. From stories about his first jobs to his first loves and his experiences with racism, Wilson recounts his life from his roots to the completion of The American Century Cycle. How I Learned What I Learned gives an inside look into one of the most celebrated playwriting voices of the twentieth century.

New York Premiere originally produced by Signature Theatre, New York City James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director Erika Mallin, Executive Director. The world premiere of “How I Learned What I Learned” was presented by Seattle Repertory Theatre in 2003, performed by August Wilson.

Reserved seating tickets are $25 ($15 for students) and will be available for purchase on March 29.
