Drawing is a great way to experience nature deeply. It opens your eyes to a deeper understanding of the subject and brings more discovery to the beauty and meaning. Tulips are one of the Pacific Northwest’s favorite spring flowers. With their elegant lines and variety of colors, tulips lend themselves well to learning colored pencil drawing techniques. It is a great subject for beginners as an introduction to colored pencil drawing, and excellent for more experienced participants to practice achieving smooth texture, and vibrant color layering.

Come and enjoy drawing the many varieties of this colorful spring flower, while learning to see colors and create luminosity. Experienced botanical artist and teacher, Crystal Shin will guide you throughout, with her demonstration and hands-on advice and feedback to your drawing. All levels are welcome from beginner to experienced.
