Max Brooks, son of Mel Brooks, knows a lot about pandemics. He wrote the zombie apocalyptic horror novel World War Z, and is a lecturer at West Point’s Modern War Institute. On Fresh Air recently, Max Brooks said during a pandemic, social distancing is very important, but so is “FACT HYGIENE” – be careful what you listen to and what you put back out. He said listen to medical experts and reliable sources – and DON’T pass along rumors and random facts on the internet. Hear that very interesting conversation with Max Brooks on Fresh Air.
